Mohamed El Mahdy

Mohamed is a Senior Associate at the dispute resolution department at Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants, Dubai office. With over 12 years of regional experience, he specializes in complex disputes (commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration) across various sectors and provides strategic advice on dispute avoidance.

He plays a crucial role in managing a diverse international commercial practice. His extensive expertise includes handling cases under various institutional rules such as DIAC, ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL, SIAC and CRCICA, demonstrating his proficiency in navigating complex legal frameworks. He also provides advice on civil and commercial litigation matters. He is actively involved in the international arbitration community in the region and frequently publishes and engages in various high-profile events.

Prior to joining Galadari, Mohamed practiced at one of the top-tier international law firms in the region. Mohamed brings a wealth of experience by acting, throughout his career, as counsel and arbitrator, in international arbitration proceedings relating to international commercial and investment disputes. Earlier in his career, Mohamed completed a secondment with one of the “supermajors” oil and gas companies.

Mohamed is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from Ain Shams University in Cairo and has received a Master of Laws degree In Private Law and International Trade Law from Ain Shams University as well as an LLM Law and Economics from Hamburg University and a Master of Economics from Cairo University.
