Rajae Hakim is a Senior Associate in Galadari’s Tax practice, advising multinational groups, financial institutions, investment platforms, and corporates on UAE Corporate Tax, international tax, cross-border structuring, and transactional tax matters.
She brings more than 10 years of international experience across the UAE and Spain, with a practice focused on corporate tax advisory, international tax structuring, financial institutions taxation, and complex cross-border transactions. Her experience includes advising on group reorganisations, financing structures, M&A transactions, and broader international tax developments, including Pillar Two considerations.
Rajae has experience supporting businesses through the implementation of the UAE Corporate Tax regime, including tax impact assessments, compliance frameworks, governance structures, regulatory interpretation, and ongoing advisory support. Prior to joining Galadari, she played a key role in building and scaling the Corporate Tax practice at KPMG Lower Gulf during the introduction of the UAE Corporate Tax regime, leading more than 50 corporate tax impact assessment and implementation projects.
Her practice also has a strong focus on financial institutions and regulated sectors, where she has advised banks, insurers, and asset managers on corporate income tax, VAT, non-resident taxation, financial transaction taxes, banking levy regimes, and the taxation of financial products and transactions.
In addition, Rajae has experience in complex tax structuring and contentious tax matters, including cross-border financing arrangements, tax audits, and litigation proceedings before the Spanish National High Court and Supreme Court. Her background combines strong technical tax expertise with practical commercial advisory experience across multi-jurisdictional and regulated environments.
Prior to joining Galadari, Rajae held positions at KPMG Lower Gulf, EY Spain, Andersen in Spain, PwC Tax & Legal Services, and KPMG Abogados.
She is qualified as a lawyer with the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM) and holds a Master’s Degree in Taxation, an LL.M., and a UAE Corporate Tax Diploma from PwC Academy. She is fluent in Arabic, Spanish, English, and French.
