New categories for golden residency visas announced

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the new list of eligible individuals to be granted the Golden Residency visa. He stated via his Twitter account “Today, we approved granting the 10-year, Golden Visa to all PhD holders in the UAE. Also, the Golden Visa will be granted to top graduates from UAE-accredited universities with a GPA of 3.8 and above. UAE Golden Vis will also include UAE-based physicians as well as engineers in the fields of computer science, electronics, programming, electricity and biotechnology.”
Golden residency visas will also be granted to holders of specialised degrees in artificial intelligence, big data, or epidemiology and viruses. This is in addition to top high school graduates, along with their families, ensuring that the UAE not only attracts top talent but that they can stay in the UAE to advance their career and drive the future development of the country.
In May this year, Sheikh Mohammed had decided to award 10-year Gold Card residency visas to doctors of the Dubai Health Authority who are providing direct medical services to Covid-19 patients.

أعلن الشيخ محمد في تويته له اليوم عن الفئات الجديدة التي ستمنح الإقامة الذهبية وقال” الإخوة و الاخوات.. اعتمدنا اليوم منح الإقامة الذهبية للمقيمين لمدة 10 سنوات لجميع الحاصلين على شهادات الدكتوراة في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة. ايضاً سيتم منح الإقامة الذهبية لمتفوقي الجامعات المعتمدة بالدولة بمعدل 3.8 واكثر. كما سيشمل منح الإقامة الذهبية كافة الاطباء، المهندسين في مجالات هندسة الكمبيوتر و الإلكترونيات و البرمجة و الكهرباء و التكنولوجيا الحيوية المقيمين في الدولة.
كما سيتم منح الإقامة الذهبية للحاصلين على شهادات تخصصية في الذكاء الإصطناعي أو البيانات الضخمة أو علم الاوبئة و الفيروسات بالاضافة إلى اوائل الثانوية العامة في الدولة مع اسرهم هذه دفعة أولى ستتبعها دفعات و العقول و المواهب نريدها ان تبقى وتستمر معنا في مسيرة التنمية و الإنجازات.
وفي مايو من هذا العام ، قرر الشيخ محمد منح تأشيرات الإقامة الذهبية لمدة 10 سنوات لأطباء هيئة الصحة بدبي الذين يقدمون خدمات طبية مباشرة لمرضى كوفيد 19.
